Options dialog is used to measure the main parameters of ManageDesk program. Here you can measure the number and title of desktops, display resolution, background picture (wallpaper) etc (fig. 1).

Each desktop can have its own icons, folders and files.
You can create or copy them the same way you do it in Windows. ManageDesk

icons are visible on all desktops. You can place here the icons, whitch must

Each desktop can have its own resolution settings. You can
use any display resolution supported by your video adapter. |
| Enable independent desktop wallpapers |
Each desktop can have its own background picture. You can
select wallpaper picture by using "Wallpaper selection" combobox. |
| Convert wallpapers to BMP files |
You activate the function of converting JPG pictures to BPM, which allows ManageDesk to smooth desktop switching. |
| Keep applications in their own desktop |
If you will set this checkbox, applications cannot change their own desktops by themselves. This function does not work with alternate desktop switching engine. |
| Enable alternate desktop switching engine |
Select or clear this option if some applications are not responding when you switch desktops. |
| Self-release of hidden program memory |
You activate the function of releasing the computers memory by the programs, which are in hidden desktops, by checking this checkbox. This item is useful if you are using some programs for a longer period and not often change desktops. |
| Show notification window |
Shows or hides message window, which is used to inform a user for Sleep timer's messages. |
| Show tips on startup |
Shows or hides tip of the day window. |
| Desktop count |
The number of desktops. ManageDesk carries an almost infinite number of desktops, but for the users' comfort it is limited from 2 to 100. if you choose more than 4 desktops, the first three will be shown with their numbers and others - will be pointed by the icon with an arrow. You should click on it with the left mouse button. (pic.2)

| Select wallpaper |
You can select from a choice of desktop background pictures here. All pictures are stored in the Wallpapers folder. Please disable Windows active desktop function to use this option. |

Please select the desktop, which parameters you want to change (fig. 3).

| Set desktop resolution |
The resolution of chosen desktop. Be careful in choosing the resolution and check does your monitor and video card can carry it. Try the resolution with Apply resolution button before pressing Apply. If you see the message window asking you to confirm the resolution (pic. 17), press Yes button. If you see the black screen only, wait a few seconds for restitution into previous resolution;

| Change desktop name |
Allows the desktop title to be changed. For example, desktops for Internet will be called "Internet", and desktops for multimedia - "Multimedia" etc. The name can be changed by typing a new name in the Title field. |
Press Apply button in the bottom of window for saving all changes you have made. Press Cancel for cancelling changes. There is one exception for resolution setting, which is saved by pressing Yes button in the Desktop Resolution Settings dialog.
